Yard notes & kiln story

Description

Bell and Polcyn 2005

The pathological deformations in this species and in this place are well known

Without doubt this is a perfect example of the dentition of the fearsome Otudus obliquus

This process does not affect neither the color nor any of the characteristics

Type species: Halisaurus platyspondylus Marsh

06125 - Top Quality 2.14 Inch Partially Rooted Elasmosaur (Zarafasaura oceanis) Tooth Phylloceras Bell and Polcyn 2005It is a well preserved tooth. The color of its enamel varies between tones of cream and brown. This tooth was broken in small sector during the initial collecting efforts but all parts were put back together and there is no restoration and no fabrication. The broken and subsequently glued areas are indicated in one of the images. Elasmosaurus teeth from the Upper Cretaceous from the Oulad Abdoun Basin are relatively more scarce than the Mosasaurus.
