It was first described in 2019 from plants in central Georgia, where it grows in low floodplains. In appearance, Trillium delicatum resembles a miniature Trillium decumbens, but without the prostrate stem. In the garden, Trillium delicatum forms a fast offsetting clump of stalks that matures at a short 3" tall. Each stalk ends in with three olive green
