giganteum 'Marco' is a selected clone of the giant form with leaves to nearly 15" across and so thick and glossy they don't seem real

The hairy leaves clothe the upright 6' tall stems that are topped with spectacular purple-and-white velvety flowers from late summer until frost in fall

They are showy in bloom and the foliage while not show-stopping is quite handsome most of the year

This German introduction was discovered and named by the late Bob Hayes of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Each large, corrugated, dark green leaf is surrounded by what is possibly the finest wide cream edge ever on a hosta. Each stunning, 3' wide clump is topped in midsummer with 2' tall scapes of light lavender flowers. This is truly an incredible specimen plant.
