Oxalis melanosticta Ken Aslet Arisarum The 11" tall stalks are(aka: Oxalis purpurea 'Ken Aslet') Oxalis 'Ken Aslet' is a selection of the South African (Bokkeveld Escarpment to the Western Karoo) Oxalis melanosticta, named after retired RHS Wisley head gardener, Ken Aslet. This lovely glaucous, velvety leaf oxalis emerges for us in early April, and forms tight rosettes of foliage, that are eventually topped with large yellow flowers, starting for us in mid November.
