19th Century Gilt Frame tray with birds either standing upA beautiful faded elegant antique wooden frame with decorative carved detail. It is a matte gold it may have had more of a rich gilt feel at another stage but it is a wonderful piece. There are splits and cracks and chips and pieces missing in the wood but this adds to the timeworn beauty. I love antique frames and yes, they can be used to reframe an interesting picture or painting but they are equally striking as pieces on their own. Layer them up
