a hybrid of the high mountain Himalayan Hedychium gardnerianum and Hedychium coccineum

Our eight-year-old patch is 6' wide at the base and looks like a series of giant torches

Hedychium Fiesta Anemone that's darn oldHedychium 'Fiesta' is an excellent Hedychium coccineum hybrid that we've grown since 1996. For us, it produces 6' tall stalks topped, starting in early July, with flower heads of fragrant dark orange flowers. As with most hedychium, soils with even moisture produce much better flowering.
