Crinum Emma Jones 4b clothed to the top withThis old Thad Howard named hybrid from the TX garden of Fred Jones is a cross between C. 'Peachblow' and C. 'Cecil Houdyshel'. Like the arms of a giant octopus, the glossy green, 3' long x 3" wide, strap shaped leaves arch out and downward from the giant bulb. This bold mound of foliage is softened, beginning in mid June, with 4' stalks, each topped with up to a dozen deliciously fragrant, 7" long x 3" wide, purplish pink flowers (RHS 62B). In windy
