This gem hails from woodlands on the southernmost of the larger main Japanese islands, Kyushu. The attractive silver veined green leaves form a tight, evergreen 4" tall x 1' wide clump, adorned just below the foliage in early May (NC) with dazzling light beige flowers, each with a purple eye ring.
