Hosta American Halo Perennial Plant of the Year in our humble opinion(aka: H. 'Northern Halo' Wade Form) When H. 'Northern Halo' (a cream edged H. sieboldiana) was first tissue cultured, many different mutations occurred. Growers such as Ohio's Van Wade collected them all and then selected the best to name and propagate. That resulting plant was named H. 'American Halo'. This stunning selection forms a 22" tall x 6' wide clump of corrugated blue green leaves surrounded by a wide, creamy yellow border. The slow growing
