Dating back to the late Ming Dynasty era (c. 1540 AD), this swatow bowl features a blue & white motif and is encrusted with large, fossilized oyster shells. The piece maintains a marine patina after being submerged in water for centuries before its recovery during a historical shipwreck salvage excavation . Details approx. 6" Diameter, 6" Deep
