Epimedium brachyrrhizum Delosperma The wild species of dayliliesThis beautiful new dwarf, clump forming species of epimedium was discovered in 1994 in the Guizhou Province of China. The leathery, dark green leaves emerge with a wonderful mottled rose purple pattern in spring. The clumps are topped with arching sprays of giant 2", spider like rose pink flowers incredibly elegant! From Zone 7 south, we expect the foliage to remain evergreen, but it should be cut back in spring for the best floral show.
