Boys Waistcoats | White Linen Size:Medium Both styles are soft linen

Yard notes & kiln story

Description

Both styles are soft linen outers with a stiff linen lining

Nearly every 18th century man would have worn a coat over his waistcoat to be properly dressed

This method of construction was common in the latter half of the eighteenth century and contributes to the garment's clean

not only of the industrious and reticent Martha Ballard but of her society

The designs used are historically inspired by 18th and 19th-century block printed fabrics and scarves and printed by hand by traditional craftsmen using hand-carved teak blocks

Boys Waistcoats | White Linen Size:Medium Both styles are soft linenConsidered a necessary everyday garment at the time of the American Revolution, waistcoats such as these would have been in every young man's wardrobe. Made of sturdy linen, this is an option appropriate for any boy 18th century. These have covered buttons down the front that are attached with twill tape on the inner lining, ready for the roughhousing little boys love to do.
