The base and shade are have a lovely stylized floral and leaf pattern with the lamp column resembling an opening bud. They are made of spelter, an inexpensive zinc alloy, often called the poor mans bronze. They are made metal is painted in a dark moss green with flourishes of pink and maroon. There are areas throughout the base with paint wear. The shade has six butterscotch colored slag glass
