The Fezouata Formation occurs in the lower part of the Lower to lower Middle Ordovician Outer Feijas Group, in the western, central and eastern Anti Atlas Mountains, southern Morocco (Destombes et al. 1985; Gutierrez Marco & Martin 2016).
