Epimedium jinchengshanense Caramel Schizachyrium topped with narrow red petalsEpimedium 'Caramel' is the superb wild collected introduction from Asian plant guru, Dr. Mikinori Ogisu of Japan. Epimedium 'Caramel' is a selection of the newly named Epimedium jinchengshanense. The narrow, toothed foliage adorns the stems of the 1' tall x 2' wide clump. In early April (NC) the stem terminates in massive clusters of flowers, each composed of large golden yellow inner sepals, highlighted by a small caramel cup and small white outer
