The General Service Medal 1962 - 2007 is commonly known as the Campaign Service Medal 1962 as was awarded with a minimum of one campaign clasp (in the instance 'Kuwait') and it is believed that a maximum of six clasp have been awarded on one medal

The Accumulated Campaign Service Medal or ACSM was awarded for accumulated campaign service totalling 720 days

As with the First World War, awards were made to foreign nationals and in the main these were issued un named, all awards to UK troops were awarded with impressed naming although some awards made for the Far East were engraved locally.
