Agave americana Mediopicta Aurea Mallows attached just below the stemsWe have been unable to determine the origin of Agave americana 'Aurea', which we have grown for nearly two decades. This smaller, but lovely form of the giant Agave americana has leaves which are mostly bright yellow, surrounded by a contrasting blue edge. In containers, we have never been able to get this century plant to grow larger than 1' tall x 2' wide. Because of the amount of pigment in the yellow leaves, we don't recommend more than a few
