Baptisia minor Blue Bonnet Aster Hibiscus coccineus is a versatile(aka: B. australis var. minor) Baptisia minor 'Blue Bonnet' is a 2015 Plant Delights JLBG introduction that's one of our selected clones from seed originally collected in 1998 from Melissa, Texas just north of Dallas. Baptisia minor 'Blue Bonnet' is the earliest flowering of all the Baptisia minor clones we've grown, starting in early April (NC). Up to 50 flower spikes emerge prior to the unfurling foliage, opening like a dwarf Baptisia australis with
