The steel core gives the cord its structure and keeps it from going slack, while the nylon sheath stays smooth against the skin. The clasp is kept deliberately small, so the rope reads as the whole piece rather than a setting for hardware. It is the most pared back bracelet we make, and the easiest to leave on.
