Found in Slovenia (northeast of Croatia) in 1993 by Will McLewin (collection #12. 1), Helleborus croaticus closely resembles Helleborus atrorubens except that the pedicels are hairy and the flowers resemble Helleborus torquatus. For us, the alkaline loving Helleborus croaticus has thrived in our slightly acidic soil in a site that recieves full sun for several
