Rohdea japonica Galle 7b In midsummer(aka: R. 'Tyokkwina') From the late Fred Galle, via the US National Arboretum (USNA #39665), comes this vigorous cultivar of the evergreen sacred lily. The much narrower than normal, boat shaped, dark green leaves (18" long x 1" wide) make an arching clump similar to a hosta. As with the species, this rare evergreen perennial makes a great winter interest plant for the woodland one of the collector plants of great value in Japan.
